Hi,

I was taking a look inside the /proc dir of my PBX when I notices
something strange, ten dahdi directories!
Is it normal or should I investigate?

I'm using an Asterisk 1.4.24 with dahdi-linux-2.1.0.4 on a Debian Etch box.

Thank you.

A /proc excerpt follows (it is not a copy and paste!):

-r--r--r-- 1 root root 0 2009-05-28 14:34

dr-xr-xr-x 2 root root 0 2009-05-28 14:34

Doesn't make sense. It should not be possible to have two files (or
directories) with the same name under the same directory.

What do you see in the kernel logs?

Hi Tzafriz,

I know it should be...but it is. If a copy and paste of ls -l output is
not enough I can print the console screen and attach it in the mail.
I assure I have ten dahdi directories...btw I wouldn't ask for help if
it was't strange.

Kernel logs says nothing particular, they contain only messages like this:

dahdi: Disabled echo canceller because of tone (rx) on channel

Thank you.

The time reported in procfs is meaningless.

However the inode number isn't completely meaningless. So can you try
a 'ls -i /proc' and see if all the dahdi-s have the same inode number?

(I would be greatly surprised if they do have the same number)
